The City of Arts and Sciences is a cultural architectural space dedicated to science and culture, inaugurated in 1998. The work of the Valencian architect Santiago Calatrava, it is made up of several buildings that have become icons of the city. It is a scientific and cultural leisure complex to enjoy with family or friends that today occupies around two kilometers of the old bed of the Turia River. L'Oceanogràfic

It is the largest aquarium in Europe. It is made up of different buildings, which house representations of the most important ecosystems of each of the seas and oceans of the planet: Mediterranean, Wetlands, Temperate and Tropical, Oceans, Antarctic, Arctic and Islands; in addition to the Red Sea represented in the aquarium of the Submarine Auditorium and the Dolphinarium, the most important in Europe, with daily exhibitions.

Nearly 45,000 specimens of 500 different species can be seen, such as dolphins, belugas, walruses, sea lions, seals, penguins and sharks.

Príncipe Felipe Science Museum

It is the great museum of the 21st century to present in an educational, interactive and entertaining way everything related to the evolution of life and the advances in science and technology. The Museum offers a complete scientific entertainment program, which encourages public participation, responding to the proposal of disseminating and disseminating science and technology through fun and entertainment, but without giving up the necessary scientific rigor of the topics covered. . Its main objective is to encourage curiosity and a critical spirit, trying to surprise and entertain the public through the content it offers around the world of science, technology and the environment. And it achieves this through “experimental classrooms”, spaces dedicated to holding more systematic workshops and demonstrations.

You can visit the ground floor for free, but for the upper floors you have to buy a ticket.

The Hemisfèric

The Hemisfèric was the first building in the entire complex to open its doors to the public. It is the largest projection room in Spain, which houses two projection systems on a 900 square meter concave screen that surrounds the spectators: Large format cinema, IMAX Dome, astronomical representations and entertainment shows. Every day several films are shown, mostly educational documentaries of no more than 45 minutes suitable for all audiences. With your ticket you will be given innovative 3D glasses with which you can also change the language of the projection. If you travel with children, there is usually a more children's movie once a day.
