Are you ready to enjoy to the fullest? PortAventura World opens this new season with exciting proposals and magical surprises to make you enjoy your getaway. PortAventura World kicks off the new season this March 23 with 6 thematic areas designed to make you live an unforgettable experience.

PortAventura is located in the heart of the Costa Dorada , between the Tarragona municipalities of Vilaseca and Salou .

In general, Port Aventura opens at 10:00 in the morning and closes at 24:00 at night in the summer season after the fireworks show. Although the park officially opens at 10:00, the main gates open at 9:30 and access is allowed to Mediterránea, where you can have breakfast or do some shopping while the rest of the park opens.

The park consists of 6 thematic areas based on different historical civilizations. Each area tries to faithfully reproduce details that exist or existed in said civilizations and cultures to achieve maximum immersion.

Mediterranean , this is the Welcome area of ​​the Park. The realism and quality of the park is surprising; The houses, streets, ports, restaurants, etc., take you to a small typical Mediterranean fishing village .

From here you can travel to any part of the park either on foot, by boat ( Port de la Drassana ) or by steam train ( Estació del Nord ) .

You cannot miss its main attraction, the Furius Baco , a horizontal catapult that will propel you to 135km/h in just 3 seconds, the fastest roller coaster in Europe until 2009 and which has the peculiarity that the traveler's legs and feet go outdoors.

In the Mediterránea you will find the largest stores and the most luxurious restaurants in the park.

Everything begins and ends in the Mediterranean, because it is here where the Fiesta Aventura show is held, a wonderful light and pyrotechnic show that closes the park every night.

Polynesia , we enter an authentic jungle full of palm trees, bamboo and tropical plants that reproduce the vegetation of the Polynesian islands, one of the most exotic landscapes in the world.

The biggest attractions here are the Kon Tiki Wave , a large canoe that swings (90º tilt) simulating a strong tropical storm. Sea Odissea and Dino Escape 4D is an attraction for all ages where movies and dinosaurs are projected in 3D, respectively, and finally the great Tutuki Splash , representing a large volcano where you will travel on a barge through the jungle between torrents and waterfalls up to 15 meters.

In Polynesia you will find many attractions designed especially for the little ones, such as Las canoas , a small route via submerged rails with ups and downs.

In this area, the shows are especially beautiful and very well set, shows with exotic birds and ancestral rituals, with music and dances that will transport you to this Pacific paradise. You will be able to enjoy Aloha Tahiti, Birds of Paradise, one of the best and most successful shows in the park.

Sésamo Aventura , since 2011 we have found this new themed area, especially designed for the little ones. In Sesame Adventure we enter a magical world, full of color and fantasy with a large central tree inhabited by Sesame Street characters.

China is the area with the largest and most powerful attractions in the park: the Dragon Kahn (8 loops and more than 110km/h) and the Shambhala (the highest roller coaster in Europe at 76 meters) preside over a small world set in China. Imperial reproducing in detail not only the grandeur of the Asian giant, divided into two well-differentiated areas: Popular China and Imperial China, linked together by the Great Wall, but also the imaginary kingdom of Bhutan, one of the most isolated and unknown in the world. Plus, you can enjoy the Angkor adventure , and amazing shows like Dance Revolution and the magic of Bubblebou .

In China there is the great Imperial Theater , a theater for 1140 people where you can rest and see wonderful shows full of music and color.

If you like Chinese cuisine, this is a good area to enjoy a fantastic buffet at Marco Polo , the Canton restaurant where you can eat authentic Chinese whok food, kebabs, skewers and rolls, or even eat hamburgers and hot dogs at the Dragana restaurant.

Mexico , an incredible mix of the Mayan and Aztec jungle, with its cantinas, arid lands and pyramids. Mystery, traditional shows and very strong emotions is what awaits you in this corner of the park. The star attraction in this area is the Huracán Cóndor, a 100-meter-high tower that reaches 110 km/h. The El Diablo Mine Train with curves and slopes at high speed, the Feathered Serpent , the Temple of Fire and The Secret of the Mayans , a fun tour with light and sound effects through a maze of mirrors.

La Cantina is a restaurant that offers Mexican specialties such as nachos, spaghetti, beans, etc.
