The Mediterranean Epic will take place in Oropesa del Mar from May 30th to 31st. Triathlon 2026 , a very important event for all triathlon lovers.
Oropesa del Mar and Cabanes will host the Mediterranean Epic Triathlon and will offer a magnificent combination of features to host the event, with a complete program for all athletes and their companions and even the youngest members of the family, thanks to the children's parks at Marina D'Or .
€10,000 in cash prizes will be distributed, €5,000 for male athletes and another €5,000 for female athletes.
What events take place at the Mediterranean Epic Triathlon?
The non-drafting tests will take place on May 30th, and include:
- Full Distance: 3,800 meters of swimming, 180 km of cycling, and 42 km of running. This event will also host the Spanish Long Distance Championship.
- Half Distance: 1,900 m swimming, 90 km cycling and 21 km running.
May 31st will be the day for drafting tests, which include:
- Olympic Distance: 1,500m swimming, 40km cycling and 10km running.
- Sprint: 750m swimming, 20km cycling and 5km running.
To take into consideration the safety measures that the participant must have in competition, he must review the routes beforehand.
It's also important to know that there will be a cut-off time. The maximum time allowed to complete the swim is 1 hour, and any participant who does not reach the second transition within 4 hours and 30 minutes will not be allowed to continue in the race.
Registrations for the Mediterranean Epic Triathlon
Registration for the Mediterranean Epic Triathlon is now open.
The Mediterranean Epic Triathlon will start at Playa Verde in Marina D'Or , the same location as the transition area and finish line. There will also be several aid stations along the course.
Registration fees for triathlon federation members (non-federation members must pay an additional €12 for a 1-day license) are €129 for the first 100 places, €159 (places 101-400) and €195 (places 401-700).
The organizers will provide participants with a basic cloakroom service for storing bags containing low-value items, such as jackets or raincoats. It is not permitted to use this service for valuables or money, as the organizers are not responsible for theft or loss.
