Information about Gaudi Caprice

Imagine immersing yourself in the history and art of one of Spain's most iconic architects, Antonio Gaudí, through a visit to El Capricho de Gaudí in Comillas, a must-see for your holidays in Cantabria . This is one of his most personal and least-known works.

Gaudí's Capricho is not just a work of art; it is an immersive experience where every detail tells a story, every space is a canvas, and every moment lived there becomes a memory. Booking this getaway means choosing to immerse yourself in an artistic expression where nature and architecture dialogue in perfect harmony.

On your visit to El Capricho de Gaudí in Cantabria, you will come across a unique architectural work that stands out for its aesthetics inspired by oriental architecture and for being one of the precursors of European modernism. Designed by the famous architect Antoni Gaudí for Máximo Díaz de Quijano, this villa located in Comillas reflects Gaudí's unmistakable style, combining orientalist and modernist elements with an innovative use of local materials and ceramics.

The visit allows you to explore both the exterior of the building, with its vibrant details and mosaics, and the interior, where you can appreciate the architecture and some of Gaudí's works. In addition, the museum offers the opportunity to learn more about the history of El Capricho, from its construction to its current use as a museum, as well as fascinating aspects of the Catalan architect's life.

How to get to El Capricho de Gaudí

El Capricho is accessible on foot from the centre of Comillas, and a visit is an opportunity to immerse yourself in Gaudí's history and art outside of Catalonia. Rates vary depending on the season and there are guided tour options that will allow you to make the most of the experience, at no additional cost. In addition, the town of Comillas, where El Capricho is located, offers other Gaudí-related attractions and is an excellent starting point for exploring the Cantabrian region.

With Apartamentos 3000, you are guaranteed to stay in spaces that combine comfort, style and the best location. Imagine waking up in a welcoming atmosphere and having easy access to one of the jewels of modernism. This offer not only prioritizes your rest, but also facilitates cultural enrichment without the need for long journeys.
